Meet the Doctor
Carol J. Quinn, D.D.S.
Dr. Carol Quinn decided to become a dentist later in life than most. At age 33, she chose to transition from a successful career in speech therapy and enter the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. This decision has been most beneficial for her patients, since Dr. Quinn dedicates much of her focus on the comfort of her patients and showing them that going to the dentist can be an enjoyable experience.
“I loved dental school,” she says. “It was extremely challenging, which I wanted, and I knew right away I had made the right choice.” Today, Dr. Quinn says she has never had a day where she wasn’t happy about being a dentist because of all the new and interesting things that research and development have provided to meet patients’ needs and desires for quicker and more economically feasible beautiful smiles.
Dr. Quinn was born in Detroit, was raised on the East side and graduated from a Grosse Pointe high school. She studied audiology and speech sciences at Michigan State University, and spent a decade as a speech therapist in public schools before attending the University of Detroit School of Dentistry. By becoming a dentist, she followed in her father’s and mother’s footsteps; she is the daughter of the late William T. Quinn, D.D.S., University of Detroit, periodontist; and Clara DeWeese Quinn, BA, RDH, University of Michigan, dental hygiene and English literature.
Dr. Carol Quinn’s passion is providing cosmetically beautiful dentistry using any of the comfortable, non-invasive options that are available today.
